Overview
The Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) provides direct support for the administration and execution of SAP and SCI security programs within a blended classified environment. Working under the direction of senior security leadership, this role is responsible for protecting sensitive information, maintaining compliance with applicable security requirements, and supporting daily program operations across personnel, physical, information, and administrative security disciplines. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in SAP and SCI security, strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-security setting.
Responsibilities
- Support daily administration of SAP and SCI security programs in a blended classified environment.
- Prepare, coordinate, and implement DD Form 254s for prime and subcontracting activities.
- Process personnel security actions, including Program Access Requests (PARs), SCI nomination packages, indoctrinations, debriefings, access rosters, and personnel security files.
- Administer SCI visitor control and SCI personnel access processes, including visit requests, clearance verification, access validation, and secure entry/exit procedures.
- Support SAPF and SCIF management and accreditation sustainment activities.
- Maintain FFC, TEMPEST, and associated facility security documentation to support continuous accreditation and inspection readiness.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 - 10 years of experience in DoW security, including direct experience supporting SAP, SCI, SCIF, or SAPF environments.
- Candidate must consent to Polygraph as a condition of program access.
- Experience performing CSSO, SSR, SSO, CPSO, or related special security functions preferred.
- Active Top Secret with eligibility for access to SCI and/or SAP .
- Working knowledge of SAP and SCI security procedures, including personnel security, visitor control, document accountability, and classified facility operations.
- Familiarity with ICD 704, ICD 705, FFC maintenance, TEMPEST documentation, and accreditation sustainment activities preferred.
- Proficiency with DISS, NISS, SIMS, JADE, Scattered Castles, and other security management systems preferred.
- Relevant CDSE/STEPP or security training is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $150,000.00/Yr. - USD $170,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
