Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer, Staff, you will:
- Develop software for aircraft autopilots and associated avionics systems.
- Participate in ground and flight testing of the developed systems.
- Work with the latest, cutting edge technology

A week in the life of a Software Engineer, Staff, includes:
- Design, develop, document, test and debug software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions for aircraft autopilots and associated avionics.
- Work with systems engineers, aerospace engineers, electrical engineers, developers and others to develop fully digital autpilot systems.
- Develop Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) as part of our simlation and System Integration Lab environments.
- Develop software using C/C++ and the Qt framework.
- Develop avionics software in a hard real-time environment.
- Develop avionics software in accordance with DO-178C.
Qualifications
- BS Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience with C/C++ and Qt
- Minimum of 1 years of related work experience in the field of aircraft avionics
- Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $95,000.00/Yr. - USD $110,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
