The Legal Operations Co-op/Assistant will support the Legal Department’s use of technology, data, and process improvement to help the team work efficiently and consistently. This role is well suited for a highly organized, detail-oriented student who is interested in legal operations, legal technology, knowledge management, and practical process improvement. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Legal Operations and will involve close coordination with members of the Legal Department, IT, and other internal teams.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Support legal operations data quality initiatives, including ServiceNow request profiling, internal practice area tagging, NetDocuments agreement mapping, and related data cleanup projects.
• Maintain and improve legal technology documentation, including user guides, onboarding materials, and knowledge base resources for tools such as ServiceNow, NetDocuments, Litera, and related systems.
• Assist with Legal Department process improvement projects, including notification tracking, onboarding enhancements, workflow documentation, and other operational initiatives.
• Assist with day-to-day Legal Department requests, including requests related to DocuSign, document compares, translation, agreement status, and other straightforward service inquiries.
• Help triage incoming ServiceNow tickets by categorizing requests, identifying appropriate next steps, and routing matters to the appropriate Legal team member.
• Support Legal Department technology and AI initiatives by identifying potential use cases and helping test related tools and workflows.
• Follow established data management, validation, and confidentiality practices to help maintain reliable records, reports, and operational processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Interest in legal operations, legal technology, process improvement, knowledge management, or related areas.
• Comfort learning and using technology platforms; experience with Microsoft Office is required, and familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, CoPilot, Claude, Harvey, ServiceNow, NetDocuments, Litera, or DocuSign is helpful but not required.
• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to create clear instructions, process documentation, and user-facing materials.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and communicating status clearly.
• Sound judgment and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Collaborative, service-oriented approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

This role is compensated at an hourly rate of $23.
