The Opportunity

The Total Rewards Intern will contribute to high-impact projects across compensation, benefits, retirement, and people analytics. This role is ideal for a curious, quantitatively minded student who wants broad business exposure and the opportunity to analyze data, research market practices, develop actionable insights, and explore practical uses of artificial intelligence.

Through this experience, you will gain broad exposure to compensation, benefits, retirement, and people analytics; build skills in quantitative analysis, market research, insight development, and business communication; and explore responsible, practical applications of AI within a People function.

What You’ll Do

• Support data analysis and research related to compensation, benefits, retirement, and people analytics.
• Organize and evaluate information to identify trends, questions, and actionable insights.
• Prepare clear summaries and presentations for Total Rewards team members and stakeholders.
• Research relevant market practices and summarize potential implications for APi Group.
• Help identify, assess, and prototype practical AI-enabled solutions for selected team processes.
• Support project documentation and other priority initiatives across the Total Rewards Center of Excellence.
• Complete a defined analysis or market-research deliverable for a Total Rewards program; develop actionable insights and clearly communicate their business relevance; prototype or recommend a practical AI use case and present key learning to the team.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field and demonstrating strong interest in Total Rewards or people analytics.
• Working familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• Interest in and basic familiarity with artificial intelligence tools or concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

• A rising sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelor's degree
• Curious and analytical mindset.
• Ability to translate data and research into clear observations.
• Initiative, sound judgment, and willingness to learn across multiple subject areas.

Program Details

• Internship Dates: June 7 – August 13, 2027
• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
• Work Arrangement: On-site
• Location: New Brighton, MN
• Compensation: $23 per hour
