The person in this role is responsible for translating business and architectural requirements into high-quality technical solutions through detailed design, development, testing, implementation, and support activities. The role contributes across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), ensuring that applications and services meet functional, performance, quality, and reliability expectations while adhering to organizational standards, policies, and best practices.
The person in this role collaborates with business stakeholders, architects, Track Lead, Project manager, and development team members to deliver scalable and maintainable technology solutions that create value for clients and the organization.
Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis & Estimation
- Analyze business, functional, and non-functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and define solution scope.
- Participate in effort estimation and provide inputs for project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Contribute to the preparation of requirement documents, user stories, and technical specifications.
Solution Design
- Translate high-level architecture into detailed technical designs and implementation plans.
- Develop design artifacts, workflows, technical specifications, and solution documentation.
- Evaluate design alternatives and recommend optimal solutions based on scalability, performance, maintainability, and business needs.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise architecture standards and engineering best practices.
Application Development
- Develop, enhance, review, and maintain software applications and services.
- Produce high-quality code aligned with coding standards, security requirements, and performance expectations.
- Conduct peer code reviews and incorporate feedback to improve overall product quality.
- Develop reusable components, utilities, and automation capabilities to improve development efficiency.
Testing & Quality Assurance
- Create unit test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.
- Perform unit, integration, system, functional, and user acceptance testing support activities.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve defects while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Support test automation initiatives and continuous quality improvement efforts.
Architecture & Technical Governance
- Participate in the creation and review of application architecture and technical design documents.
- Ensure solutions conform to architectural guidelines, technology standards, and security requirements.
- Contribute to technical discussions, design reviews, and solution governance forums.
Release, Deployment & Implementation
- Support configuration management, build automation, and release management processes.
- Participate in deployment planning and implementation activities.
- Assist in application rollouts, production validation, and go-live support.
- Ensure successful productionization of applications with minimal operational risk.
Production Support & Maintenance
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents and production issues.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and support teams to ensure issue resolution within agreed SLAs.
- Contribute to application stability, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, business users, and project stakeholders for assigned deliverables.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, project managers, and client representatives.
- Provide timely and accurate project, solution, and delivery updates.
- Support customer-facing activities, workshops, demonstrations, and implementation discussions to ensure successful project delivery.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders by demonstrating technical expertise, responsiveness, and accountability.
Knowledge Management & Organizational Learning
- Document technical learnings, project experiences, best practices, and reusable assets.
- Contribute to organizational knowledge repositories, playbooks, and technical documentation.
- Leverage lessons learned from previous projects to improve delivery effectiveness and solution quality.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions, mentoring activities, and transition support for project teams.
- Promote continuous learning and knowledge sharing across teams and technology domains.
Transition & Service Readiness
- Prepare operational documentation, support guides, and transition materials.
- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for support, maintenance, and operations teams.
- Support project handover activities and ensure service readiness before production transition.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Programming in MS Visual C#, Dot Net Framework
- Programming in RESTful API
- Coding SSRS report
Hands-on Manhattan SCALE WMS production-support experience
Strong troubleshooting and incident-management skills
Good Microsoft SQL Server querying and coding and data-analysis capability
