Purpose of the Job: Coordinate all Mechanical Engineering activities with a competent team to ensure equipment availability through Preventive & Planned maintenance and timely implementation of Capex/Improvement projects .

Drive budget/cost control activities
Major Responsibilities: To ensure maximum availability & reliability of machines of the plant.(P)
To achieve the efficiency targets in Specific Steam,water, Stores & spares, Repair & Maintenance.(C)
Training and skill development of subordinates.(M)
ImplementISO 50001 activities in the plant.(C)
Implement OHS , EMS audit activities in Engineering.(S)
Implement ISO audit activities in Engineering.(Q)
Identify ,Plan & Implement steam,water saving Projects (C)
Planning and implementation of Capex/Improvement projects (P,Q,C,S,M)
Implement the 5S activities(Q,S)To achieve equipment related scrap targets (C )
Skills:Knowledge and technical understanding of Tyre manufacturing processes, Mecha safety and energy management.
Relevant Experience: Demonstrable experience of Mechanical engineering function with a proven track record and handling projects in-line with updated technology and process requirement
Education Qualification(s): Educated to Engineering degree level in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent qualification
