Supervisor

Job Duties

Conduct daily staffing and attendance checks to identify employees who are present, tardy, or absent and assess potential impacts to production requirements.

Identify staffing shortages and coordinate appropriate coverage, including working with management to obtain support from other shifts when necessary.

Promptly escalate staffing, equipment, process, or other operational issues that may affect daily production output or schedule attainment to appropriate management.

Coordinate with technicians, engineers, and management to resolve production constraints, including staffing gaps, equipment issues, and other conditions that may delay the production line.

Assign production personnel to appropriate workstations and equipment based on production priorities, staffing availability, and operational needs.

Review daily, weekly, and monthly production goals and coordinate personnel and resources to support achievement of established targets.

Monitor and communicate production line status, output, yield, and significant issues during shift handoffs between day and night shifts.

Maintain awareness of daily and weekly operator schedules and coordinate staffing to support adequate production line coverage.

Manage and prioritize daily work orders to support timely completion of production requirements.

Provide day-to-day coaching, mentoring, and guidance to production operators and support the development of newly assigned employees.

Coordinate new-operator training in partnership with the designated training team and ensure required training is completed.

Maintain and update operator training records following successful completion of required training.

Enforce production line rules, electrostatic discharge (ESD) requirements, cleanroom procedures, break schedules, attendance requirements, and other applicable company policies.

Ensure operators follow approved standard operating procedures, work instructions, and established production processes.

Review and approve subordinate employee timecards/timesheets in accordance with company timekeeping procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned to support production operations and departmental objectives.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Provides day-to-day supervision and work direction to production operators, including work assignments, scheduling coordination, coaching, training support, performance feedback, policy enforcement, and timecard approval. This position does not have independent authority to make final hiring or termination decision

Job Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Ability to work effectively in a repetitive manufacturing environment and maintain the manual dexterity required for production-related tasks.

Basic computer and data-entry proficiency required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Ability to use, or learn to use, microscopes, basic electrical instruments, hand tools, and measuring tools.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous semiconductor manufacturing or cleanroom experience preferred.

Previous lead, supervisory, or production coordination experience preferred.

Knowledge of SQL is a plus.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working in a repetitive manufacturing environment. The position may require work in a cleanroom or controlled production environment and the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
