AppsForBharat is building technology products for India's spiritual and devotional ecosystem. Our flagship product, Sri Mandir, is used by millions of devotees across India and globally.

We are looking for a Shopify Engineer who can own the development and optimization of our Shopify-based commerce experiences, while also being strong on the React and UI/frontend side.

What you'll do

• Build, customize and maintain Shopify storefronts, themes and features.

• Develop responsive and high-quality user experiences using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS.

• Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, JavaScript and Shopify APIs.

• Integrate Shopify with internal systems, third-party applications, payment solutions and other APIs.

• Build reusable UI components and improve the overall frontend architecture.

• Optimize storefronts for performance, scalability, SEO and mobile responsiveness.

• Translate Figma/design requirements into pixel-perfect, production-ready interfaces.

• Troubleshoot frontend, Shopify and integration-related issues.

• Work closely with Product, Design, Growth and Engineering teams to ship customer-facing experiences.

• Monitor and improve conversion, checkout and overall commerce experience.

What we're looking for

• 3–6 years of experience in frontend/e-commerce development, with strong hands-on experience in Shopify.

• Strong experience with Shopify development, Liquid and Shopify APIs.

• Strong proficiency in React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Good understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design and UI development.

• Experience converting designs from Figma to production-ready interfaces.

• Understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations.

• Strong understanding of frontend performance and web optimization.

• Experience working on consumer-facing/B2C products or e-commerce platforms is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently own features end-to-end.

Good to have

• Experience with Shopify Plus.

• Experience with Shopify app development.

• Experience with Hydrogen / headless Shopify.

• Knowledge of web analytics, SEO and conversion optimization.

• Experience working with high-traffic consumer websites.
