    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Aprimo is seeking a Corporate Controller to serve as a key finance leader with a path toward broader responsibilities over the next 6 to 12 months. This role will partner closely with senior leadership to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting; strengthen accounting operations; support audit, tax, treasury, and close activities; and help scale the finance function as the business grows.

    The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting leader who can operate at both a tactical and strategic level. This person will bring strong technical accounting judgment, process discipline, and a continuous-improvement mindset, with an interest in using automation, AI-enabled workflows, and modernizing accounting systems to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and help the team focus more time on analysis, controls, and higher-value business support. The Corporate Controller will serve as a key leader within the finance organization, with responsibility for developing team members, improving operating discipline, and helping prepare the function for the company’s next stage of growth.

    WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

    • Core Responsibilities:
      • Own financial reporting, including compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
      • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for the US
      • Manage consolidated GAAP audits
      • US tax operations including Federal, state and local and sales and use tax
      • Drive innovation toward AI-enabled workflows and exception-based accounting operations
      • Assist FP&A with budget preparation and financial forecasting
      • Maintain and improve accounting systems, processes and controls
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy in business operations
    • Expanded Responsibilities Over Time:
      • Collaborate with senior leadership through clear reporting, expectation alignment, and strategic recommendations
      • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes globally
      • Oversee global tax operations, including VAT and statutory reporting considerations
      • Manage cash forecasting, cash reporting, and treasury-related activities
      • Oversee global payroll processes, including payroll-related controls and reporting accuracy
      • Manage consolidated statutory audits
      • Lead, mentor, and develop members of the accounting team
      • Own and continuously improve the company’s internal control environment, including control design, documentation, execution, and remediation of identified gaps

    CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS & WHY YOU’RE A GREAT FIT FOR THE ROLE:

    • The Essentials
      • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
      • Certified Public Accountant
      • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of corporate accounting experience
      • A minimum of 3 to 6 years of public accounting experience
      • Expertise in SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) revenue recognition
      • Experience with NetSuite ERP administration
      • Expertise in corporate taxes (income, sales & use)
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
      • Hands-on operator who can move comfortably between detailed account analysis and broader process, leadership, and business priorities.
    • Additional Successful Qualities
      • Experience operating in a global, multi-entity environment with statutory reporting, intercompany activity, and foreign currency considerations.
      • Demonstrated ability to lead a monthly close process, identify bottlenecks, and improve close quality, timing, and accountability.
      • Strong internal-control mindset, including experience documenting processes, designing controls, and resolving audit findings.
      • Comfortable reviewing work, coaching team members, and building accountability in a remote or distributed team environment.
      • Systems-oriented approach, with curiosity about automation, AI-enabled workflows, reporting tools, and better use of NetSuite.
      • Ability to translate accounting issues into clear recommendations for finance and non-finance leadership.
      • High attention to detail and accuracy
      • Strong organizational and time management skills

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be able to remain in stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods and performing sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
    • Must be able to move about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
    • Must be able to perform light physical work that includes lifting or moving objects up to 20 lbs. or medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds on occasion
    • Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information, including conveying detailed or important spoken instructions to others accurately, loudly, or quickly
    • Must possess the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication at normal speaking levels
    • Must be able to repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers (i.e., repeated typing, etc.)
    • The worker is required to have close visual awareness to perform an activity and to assess the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned, such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
    • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
