Role Purpose:
To assist the Accountant in the Finance Department and to keep accurate records for all daily transactions, prepare balance sheets and process invoices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Accountant for the preparation of monthly Management Accounts.
- Performing Bank Reconciliation.
- Ensuring Payments are made in a timely manner with a view to having a smooth relationship with suppliers. Following up of payments. Checking of payment dates to ensure proper cash and treasury management.
- Ensuring records are properly kept in an orderly manner for other stakeholders to have easy access.
- Preparation of Sales Invoices on a monthly basis.
- Reconciliation of Claims Account & Claims Staff.
- Computing Prepayments & Accruals for monthly management accounts meetings.
- Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables ageing follow-up.
- Reconcile cash and prepare banking.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in Accounting; ACCA level 1 would be considered an advantage.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in the field.
Knowledge and Technical Competencies:
- Basic accounting knowledge of book-keeping.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Knowledge of financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
Behavioral Competencies:
- Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
