ICBM Development Training Support Analyst

The Mission Concepts and Capabilities Division of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc., ICBM Training Program Analyst to support Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC/A10) at Barksdale AFB, LA. This is an opportunity for an experienced ICBM operations, maintenance, training, or staff professional to apply your operational expertise to ICBM modernization, sustainment, training requirements, and future strategic weapons systems. The ideal candidate brings extensive ICBM experience along with Air Force staff-level experience and understands how operational and maintenance requirements translate into training programs, training systems, trainers, and acquisition requirements. Experience supporting AFGSC, 20th Air Force (20AF), Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), Air Education and Training Command (AETC), Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC), or the 576th Flight Test Squadron (576 FLTS) is highly desirable.

• Relevant backgrounds may include: ICBM Operations Officer, Missile Maintenance Officer, Weapons Officer, ICBM Instructor/Evaluator, Training Manager, Requirements Manager, Program Manager, Staff Officer, or senior NCO with ICBM training/requirements experience.

What You'll Do:

• Provide training planning, requirements analysis, program management, and decision support to AFGSC/A10 for ICBM modernization and sustainment programs, including training systems and devices
• Analyze current and future ICBM training requirements and assess impacts to AFGSC/A10 missions and weapon system sustainment
• Develop, review, and coordinate training plans, requirements documents, briefings, staffing packages, white papers, and decision-support materials
• Support requirements development and briefings for Air Force, MAJCOM, joint, and national-level organizations
• Analyze training requirements in support of milestone and acquisition decisions for future nuclear/ICBM systems
• Participate in integrated training teams supporting current and future ICBM acquisition programs
• Provide programmatic and requirements oversight for operational, maintenance, and support training; training systems; trainer devices; and trainer-unique support equipment
• Coordinate with AFGSC/A3, 576 FLTS, AFNWC, AETC, AFOTEC, and other organizations to ensure training requirements and programs remain aligned
• Support AFGSC/A10 with responses to internal and external MAJCOM taskings, including E-staffing, point papers, background papers, briefings, and executive-level correspondence

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of ICBM operations and/or maintenance experience
• 3+ years of Air Force MAJCOM, Headquarters Air Force (HAF), joint, or comparable staff experience
• Current or previously held Top Secret/SCI clearance (previous clearance must not have been revoked)
• Strong understanding of ICBM operations, maintenance, training, and/or requirements development
• Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate operational needs into actionable training and programmatic recommendations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing briefings, staffing packages, white papers, and executive-level correspondence

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• ICBM training or trainer experience
• Experience with Training System Requirements Analysis (TSRA)
• Experience with Training Program Development and Management Plans (TPDMP)
• Experience developing or reviewing Training Device Requirements Documents (TDRD)
• Familiarity with training systems, trainers, part-task trainers, training devices, and trainer support equipment
• Previous experience supporting AFGSC, 20AF, AFNWC, AETC, AFOTEC, 576 FLTS, or related organizations
