Senior Manager- Settlements

Arcesium is seeking a Senior Manager for our Trade Affirmations and Settlements group based in Hyderabad. The group is responsible for the timely and accurate affirmation, confirmation, and settlement of trades across asset classes on behalf of hedge fund clients, with a particular focus on OTC derivatives. The group works closely with counterparties, prime brokers, custodians, and internal middle-office and collateral teams to ensure trade economics are verified, confirmations are matched within regulatory timeliness targets, and cash movements settle without disruption.

What you'll do:

• Own the work product of the team across trade affirmation, confirmation matching, and settlement processing for OTC derivatives and other asset classes, ensuring adherence to ISDA confirmation timelines and regulatory confirmation timeliness targets.
• Play an active oversight role in day-to-day operations, including escalation of aged affirmation/confirmation discrepancies and settlement breaks, business-as-usual troubleshooting, and setting direction and goals for individuals.
• Oversee verification and validation of paper and electronic trade confirmations, and the resolution of trade economics discrepancies with counterparties and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with investment managers, prime brokers, and administrators to resolve day-to-day exceptions, while driving more strategic initiatives to reduce recurring breaks and improve straight-through processing rates.
• Liaise with other internal functions such as pricing, middle office, and collateral management to resolve discrepancies and respond to internal queries.
• Contribute to the specification and testing of system and process improvements, partnering with technology teams to support automation initiatives across affirmation and settlement workflows.
• Lead the onboarding of new client engagements onto affirmation and settlement workflows, driving process design, testing, and issue resolution through go-live to ensure workflows stabilize quickly and operate reliably in steady state.
• Uphold and strengthen controls, procedures, and best practices across the affirmation and settlement function, including support during audits.
• Oversee global regulatory and market change management events impacting trade affirmations and settlements — such as settlement cycle compression (e.g., T+1), LIBOR transition, CSDR implementation etc. ensuring the team is prepared and operationally ready ahead of go-live
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of analysts and managers, building depth and capability across the affirmations and settlements function.

What you'll need:

• MBA (Finance) / CFA / CA or any other equivalent qualification.
• 9–12 years of work experience in trade affirmations, confirmations, and settlements, with strong exposure to OTC derivatives across asset classes.
• Complete understanding of ISDA trade confirmation processes, trade life cycle, and pre- and post-settlement processes for OTC derivatives.
• In-depth domain/finance knowledge; attention to detail; ability to work with minimal supervision; and experience managing high performers.
• Drive to enhance the efficiency of processes and reduce operational risk.
• Strong project management skills and effective managerial ability.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
