Arcosa Lightweight is searching for a Accounts Payable & Scale Clerk for our Shepherdsville, KY plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. The Accounts Payable / Scale Clerk is responsible for accurately processing vendor invoices, supporting payment activities, maintaining financial records, operating scale systems, and assisting with daily administrative and reporting functions. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, vendors, drivers, and customers.

What You Will Do:
Accounts Payable
- Process accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review invoices, purchase orders, receiving documents, and other supporting documentation for accuracy and proper approval.
- Enter invoice and payment information into accounting and financial systems.
- Maintain vendor records, respond to vendor inquiries, and assist with resolving invoice or payment discrepancies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding balances or discrepancies.
- Record scale tickets, verify load information, and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
- Communicate professionally with drivers, customers, vendors, and internal departments regarding scale activity and accounts payable matters.
- Create, maintain, and distribute monthly and yearly reports related to accounts payable, scale activity, vendor activity, and other operational or financial data as needed.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper records in accordance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities as requested.
- Support administrative functions, including filing, scanning, data entry, and document management.
- Capex tracking is done monthly.
- Administration of computerized preventive maintenance system (Augury or others) including interfacing with plant maintenance personnel to assure awareness and timely response to maintenance issues identified by the system.
- Plant inventory management.
- Manage and track ARC100 and ALIVE site metrics, report to plant management on progress toward monthly goals.
- Be involved in plant safety culture, site inspections & environmental.
- Monthly conference calls and presenting PowerPoint presentations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Scale Clerk
- Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
- Operate scales, weigh trucks/loads
- Ticket out trucks/loads
- Reports such as Production numbers/shipping numbers
- Fuel reports
- Ticket scanning
- Proficient in using MS Word and Excel
- Office duties as assigned
What You Will Need:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience in accounts payable, accounting support, scale clerk operations, administrative support, or a related role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering, reviewing, and maintaining financial or operational records.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to research and resolve discrepancies.
- Professional customer service skills when working with vendors, drivers, customers, and internal employees.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and related applications.
- Experience with or ability to learn NetSuite, Oracle Financials, and Finario programs.
