The Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine (CMM) at the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson (COM-T) is, in collaboration with the Sarver Heart Center, actively seeking a dynamic individual for a non-tenure-track Associate Research Professor position. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an innovative, externally funded research program centered on cardiometabolic disease, mitochondrial metabolism, and cardiomyocyte proliferation/regeneration. CMM is renowned for its strengths in the molecular basis of complex diseases, genome function, intracellular trafficking, and cardiac biology. Applicants whose research integrates these areas to advance our understanding of developmental metabolic factors, metabolic reprogramming of cardiac cells, and mitochondrial control of cardiac function to enhance repair after myocardial injury are particularly encouraged to apply.
