    Job Description Summary

    Position Overview:
The Business Analyst, Advisory Services is the entry point into ARKANCE's advisory practice and the analytical engine beneath its engagements. This role does the hands-on work that advisory engagements are built on: gathering and organizing information, scoring maturity assessments, capturing current-state detail, supporting the business case, and producing the clean, well-structured deliverables clients expect.
Working under the direction of consultants and the Senior Consultant, the Business Analyst spends the majority of their time on client project work. They sit in discovery interviews and capture what is said, turn raw inputs into structured findings, build the analysis behind the recommendations, and keep the engagement's evidence organized and traceable. It is a role designed to build advisory capability from the ground up, with a clear path to grow into a consultant as skills and client exposure develop.
The Business Analyst also supports the practice itself, contributing to the reusable templates, benchmarks, and assets that make each engagement faster and more consistent than the last.

    Job Description

    Essential Functions

    Engagement Support & Analysis

    • Gather, organize, and structure information from client interviews, documents, and systems into clear, usable findings.
    • Support maturity assessments by scoring against the rubric, capturing evidence, and flagging where inputs conflict or are thin.
    • Build the analysis behind the recommendations, including gap analysis, opportunity sizing support, and benchmarking inputs.
    • Capture discovery interviews accurately, working against the deliverable tracks so one conversation feeds everything it should.
    • Support the business case with data gathering, modeling support, and the client's own numbers wherever available.

    Deliverable Production

    • Produce clean, well-structured, board-ready deliverables under the direction of consultants and the Senior Consultant.
    • Maintain the quality and consistency of engagement documentation, ensuring findings are evidenced and traceable.
    • Keep the engagement's evidence base organized so any deliverable track can be assembled without rework.
    • Help ensure deliverables meet the practice's standard and definition of done before review.

    Practice Contribution & Growth

    • Contribute to reusable templates, benchmarks, and assets that make future engagements faster and more consistent.
    • Build advisory capability through exposure to live engagements, developing toward a consultant role over time.
    • Stay curious about the AECO industry, the client's world, and the digital transformation landscape.
    • Take on increasing ownership of workstreams as skills and client exposure develop.

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Perform all other duties as assigned.
    • Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business needs.

    Decision-Making & Autonomy

Operates under the direction of consultants and the Senior Consultant, with growing autonomy over individual workstreams as capability develops. Owns the accuracy, structure, and quality of the analytical and documentation work assigned, and escalates questions of interpretation, client interaction, and engagement direction to the consultant or Senior Consultant leading the engagement.

    Qualifications

    • Early-career experience in analysis, consulting support, professional services, or a related analytical role, or a strong academic record with relevant internship experience.
    • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn raw and unstructured information into clear, structured findings.
    • Excellent attention to detail and a high standard for the quality and consistency of written deliverables.
    • Comfort with data: gathering it, organizing it, and supporting quantitative analysis and modeling.
    • Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, professional documentation.
    • Curiosity and a desire to grow into an advisory consultant role, with a willingness to learn on live client engagements.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Data, or a related field.
    • Interest in or familiarity with the AECO industry and the Autodesk ecosystem a plus.
