Private Equity Analyst

Due to the company’s continual growth and forthcoming capital deployment stream, Arrow intends to select: Analyst – Private Equity Origination. The candidate will sit within the Origination Team, covering all platforms of the Arrow Group in Portugal – Whitestar, Norfin, Restart Capital and Details Hotel & Resorts.

The Team leads the process of sourcing new investors and investment opportunities for the different platforms of the Group and is responsible for the analysis and development of new business lines, namely Private Credit and Alternative Investments. The team also acts as an internal think tank coordinating market research and intelligence gathering and oversees debt raising for investment projects or assets requiring leverage.

The successful candidates will be deeply involved in the origination effort, analysing new opportunities, surveying potential sectors, producing market research, developing financial models and regularly attending both internal and external meetings, site visits and underwriting negotiations. We expect all candidates to have solid analytical skills and a strong drive and to be attentive to detail, goal oriented and good team players.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Source, analyse and pitch opportunities and investment ideas;
• Design business plans and perform supporting financial modelling;
• Support the different platforms in the origination and business development function;
• Produce research reports for different market sectors;
• Provide support to senior members in the team;
• Create and present a wide array of deal memorandums and pitches.

Candidate Profile:

• Undergraduate and/or Master’s degree in Finance, Management or Economics (Engineering or Maths backgrounds with relevant finance experience will also be considered);
• The following are highly valued and will be assessed:
  - 1 to 2 years of experience in Private Equity, M&A, Advisory or Corporate Finance positions in market reputable firms
  - Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  - Financial modelling skills
  - Understanding finance and valuation fundamentals
• Fluency in English (C1 or above) and Portuguese – English certificate is a plus;
• Solid analytical and strategic thinking abilities;
• A high degree of perfectionism and attention to detail;
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking;
• Collaborative and open attitude, contributing to a positive culture
• Willingness to constantly learn and evolve;
• A strong drive to deliver and a natural mindset to add value and make an impact;
• Perseverance and willingness to work on a demanding and dynamic work environment.
