Java Developer role for 12 months Contract with the Direct Financial Client
Job Description:
- Experienced and versatile Java enterprise software engineer with proven experience in delivering robust technical solutions within a results oriented environment.
- Comfortable working on multiple deliverables often with tight deadlines. This role is primarily focused on delivering Risk Services solutions for the Front Office Risk Management team with a specific focus on Markets Division.
- They will serve as a technical resource in finding software solutions for customers.
- Conduct research and resolve problems in relation to processes, and recommend solutions and process improvements.
- Analyze user needs, determine requirements.
- Develop, implement and maintain software solutions to meet business requirements.
- Provide technical support, advice, and consultation with the issues relating to supported applications.
- Create and maintain process documentation for programs.
- Create test data, conduct interfaces and unit tests.
- Assures quality, security and compliance for supported systems and applications.
- Conduct clients/user training as required.
- The role will involve some support in the early phase and over time transition into more of a core java development role across the Risk Services platform.
Responsibilities:
- Acts in the highest level technical role as an individual contributor and/or team lead for the most complex computer applications and/or application initiatives.
- Utilizes a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.
- Works on the most complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.
- Plans, performs, and acts as the escalation point for the most complex platform designs, coding, and testing.
- Leads most complex multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis efforts.
- Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.
- 10+ years application development and implementation experience.
Java Development experience
Experience with Capital market/ Front Office Risk Management/ core java development across the Risk Services platform
