    The Position:

    The Clinical Research Manager (CRM) oversees the day-to-day management of the Clinical Research Department. The incumbent manages contracts with various pharmaceutical companies or registries; they will liaise with patients and healthcare professionals and coordinate research patient care plans. The CRM will also manage a care team, budgets, and assigning tasks.

    As a Clinical Research Manager, typical duties might look like:

    • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the research department and leader acting as a mentor to formally supervise direct reports.
    • Managing the administrative tasks associated with staffing, including hiring/firing, employee evaluations, and employee mentoring.
    • Negotiating budgets for research protocols.
    • Mastering the enrollment process of subjects in all research studies, including performing the study-specific testing like vital signs,
      blood draws, blood sample processing and packing,
    • Performing EKG’s, subcutaneous injections, educating and administering patient paper and electronic questionnaires, recording study assessments on CRF(s), and maintains study drug accountability.
    • Providing support to the Research Coordinator team as back-up and provides direction, and escalation to the physicians when
      appropriate, in both urgent and non-urgent situations.
    • Communicating clearly with clinical research team and providers to efficiently and expertly guide patients through the
      recruitment and enrollment process.
    • Monitoring the pre-screening to enrollment efforts.
    • Continuously improving efforts and acts as primary lead for designing and implementing new strategies to meet stretch enrollment and
      recruitment goals.
    • Providing weekly recruitment progress report to the physicians and ensuring completion of each study on time and on budget.
    • Curating and logging all study monitor follow up reports to ensure a high-level view of significant findings and trends and identifying
      areas of improvements and developing new methodologies to meet milestones.
    • Greeting patients in a warm and friendly manner, explains studies and procedures, answers all questions, and provides education when
      necessary.
    • Other Duties as assigned

    This job might be for you if possess the following:

    • You have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
    • You have a minimum of three years of leadership / supervisory experience in an investigatory drug study role. 
    • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • You have strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
    • You have excellent interpersonal and communications skills. 
    • Rheumatology and EPIC experience preferred.
