About the Role" This project is to build an API Gateway for an existing enterprise mission-critical system. The system handles a nominal load of 1800+ requests per second at low latencies (<150ms) with higher bursts and loads. The API gateway will sit between all clients and this system, forwarding requests and responses between the clients and the service. The gateway will capture all data into a database for analysis.
In addition, the gateway will implement advanced features such as content-based routing, flow shaping, smart caching, and more. The gateway is a clustered and resilient system designed for extreme uptime and throughput and includes its observability capabilities. "Job Title" Senior Engineer - API Gateway Development "Responsibilities" - Expert level Go development of high performing and resilient programs and systems and commensurate experience. - Thorough understanding of concurrency patterns in Go and Go runtime performance. - Thorough understanding and experience with data processing tools, patterns, and data formats including XML, JSON, HTTP, Protobuf/Avro, etc. - Very good understanding and experience with SQL. - Very good understanding and experience with Docker (Swarm a plus). - Good understanding and experience with messaging middleware. - Good understanding and experience with clustered systems.
"Required Skills" - Expert level Go development. - Understanding of concurrency patterns in Go and Go runtime performance. - Experience with data processing tools, patterns, and data formats. - Understanding and experience with SQL. - Understanding and experience with Docker (Swarm a plus). - Understanding and experience with messaging middleware. - Understanding and experience with clustered systems.
