Operate cameras as you record and conduct live shoots, ether outside or in the studio for bulletins, programs etc.
Know and apply the technical aspects of lenses, film, filters, light and camera settings to each shoot to ensure the director gets the effect they want
Adjust camera controls and any related equipment to find the right lighting, exposure and focus
Work with other media professionals, including electrician, lighting technicians and directors to determine desired effects, lighting requirements, camera movements and filming sequences
Maintain, clean, and test all broadcasting equipment and cameras to ensure all equipment is in good working order, each day before filming starts
Demonstrate a commitment to personal continuous development, by attending any relevant courses, through coaching (internal or external) and remain updated on new technology and industry trends to ensure you bring the latest methods to the job
