    Job description

    ASMO is a groundbreaking joint venture between DHL and Saudi Aramco. Inheriting DHL’s logistics excellence and Saudi Aramco’s extensive supply chain ecosystem, we are here to set a new benchmark and redefine the procurement and supply chain landscape, enabling growth.

    ASMO aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its Affiliates. In the long term, all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia aim to reach the MENA region.

    Objective:

    The role holder is primarily responsible for contributing to ASMO’s primary competitive strategy (value leadership) and is responsible for contributing to ASMO's primary competitive strategy (value leadership) and is responsible for driving initiatives that promote ASMO's brand identity, lead both external and internal communications, oversee media relations all that generate new business opportunities, and maximize customer satisfaction through strategic marketing and communications strategies.

    General Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute the Department’s long-term strategic plan in alignment with the corporate strategies.
    • Develop annual business plans for the Department and ensure the achievement of financial and strategic objectives.
    • Report to the CCO on the progress of activities against the annual business plans, opportunities, challenges and issues faced, mitigations taken, etc. as required, to make an informed decision on effective marketing & comms strategy.
    • Manage and continuously monitor the performance of the Department to ensure performance deviations are identified in a timely manner, and required resources and actions are implemented to meet performance targets.
    • Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer to align marketing & comms strategies with ASMO’s “Value Leadership” strategy, focusing on cost efficiency and superior supply chain service performance.
    • Develop and implement marketing & comms (digital and otherwise) strategies that support the business plans, driving net growth and profitability.
    • Manage and mentor marketing team members to ensure effective execution of marketing initiatives.
    • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify opportunities, trends, and customer needs within the energy, petrochemical, chemical and industrial sectors.
    • Utilize research findings to shape marketing strategies and business development efforts.
    • Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer to develop profitable new business proposals and initiatives, leveraging marketing strategies to drive growth.
    • Collaborate with the team to cultivate new and existing customer relationships, promoting ASMO’s services effectively.
    • Develop and maintain a compelling brand identity that positions ASMO as a market leader in supply chain services.
    • Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer to ensure brand alignment in all internal and external communication and interactions.
    • Oversee the execution of marketing strategies through various channels, including event participation, content development, social media advertising, printed press, media relations, sponsorships, and more.
    • Utilize collaborative work management, launch campaigns, and merchandising to promote ASMO’s services effectively.
    • Implement data-driven decision-making to monitor marketing performance and customer satisfaction, optimizing strategies for maximum impact.
    • Oversee internal communications, ensuring alignment with ASMO’s strategic goals and enhancing organizational cohesion.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing efforts with business goals and objectives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required.

    • Master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is preferred.

    • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.

    • 13 years’ experience in the same field, out of which 7 years at a managerial / leading position.
