Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by actively monitoring and investigating issues across various critical business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behaviors, and ensuring smooth operation of essential applications. The position demands continuous engagement with multiple system components to maintain service reliability and support business continuity through effective problem resolution and system oversight.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of application issues.
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
- Assist in the implementation of system updates and patches to enhance application performance.
- Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance when necessary.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Commvault Backup Administration.
- Experience in managing backup and recovery operations to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backup software and storage infrastructure.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and techniques to proactively detect system anomalies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in system diagnostics and remediation.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with technical teams and stakeholders.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in Commvault Backup Administration.
- This position is based at our BDC7A - SEZ location.
