Summary:
As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by actively monitoring and investigating issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying problems, analyzing system behavior, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications. The position demands continuous engagement with system performance and user feedback to maintain system reliability and support business continuity effectively.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of system issues.
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
- Assist in the implementation of system updates and patches to maintain optimal performance.
- Support junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance when necessary.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Basis Administration.
- Experience in managing and maintaining SAP environments including system installations, configurations, and upgrades.
- Strong understanding of system monitoring tools and performance tuning techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to SAP infrastructure and middleware.
- Familiarity with database management and backup strategies within SAP landscapes.
- Knowledge of security administration and user management in SAP systems.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in SAP Basis Administration.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
