Face + Body Assistant Buyer (12 Month FTC)

The Role

As an Assistant Buyer on Face + Body, you'll play a key role in delivering the best edit of global beauty brands for the ASOS customer. Working closely with your Buyer and cross-functional partners, you'll help drive trade, identify opportunities for growth and build strong brand partnerships that support the success of the department.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded beauty enthusiast who is passionate about trends, customer behaviour and bringing relevant newness to ASOS.

The Details

• Supporting the Buyer in curating a commercially balanced and trend-led beauty range for the ASOS customer.
• Identifying emerging beauty trends, brands and product opportunities to ensure a relevant and exciting customer offer.
• Building strong relationships with brand partners and supporting the delivery of joint business plans and commercial objectives.
• Working closely with Buying and Merchandising teams to drive departmental performance through sales, profit and customer-focused decision making.
• Analysing trade performance to identify risks and opportunities, making recommendations to support departmental growth.
• Managing the critical path to ensure key launch dates and milestones are achieved.
• Collaborating with Marketing and ASOS Media Group (AMG) to maximise visibility of key brands, trends and product moments.
• Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders including Digital Trade, Supply Chain, Operations and Events.
• Supporting wider Face + Body and Retail projects and initiatives across the business.
• Coaching and supporting Buying Assistants within the team while championing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.

About You

• Previous Beauty Buying experience at Assistant Buyer level within a fast-paced retailer or brand.
• Passionate about beauty, trends and understanding the ASOS customer.
• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to use data and insight to support decision making.
• Knowledge of the beauty market and awareness of emerging brands and trends.
• Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confident communicating and presenting to a range of stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using relevant trading systems and Microsoft Office.
