Anglicare are currently seeking a Full Time Permanent Management Accountant to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team based at our Head Office in Fortitude Valley.
In this role you will provide financial support, through understanding and interpreting financial results and performance trends. The role requires supporting the Finance Business Partner (and Head of FP&A) by developing and delivering budget and forecasting, in depth performance reporting and analysis to support key operational/strategic decisions.
Your role in supporting Anglicare will include:
- Develop and deliver the annual financial plan/budget and forecast
- Review, analyse and investigate financial performance and variances to budget, forecast, previous year and other benchmarks as deemed relevant.
- Support the development and distribution of management reporting (at all management levels), including variance analysis.
- Assist to develop management reporting processes, stakeholder communications and timetables
- Support the development of financial modelling to support the preparation and presentation of business cases.
- Support operational leaders in the review of financial performance.
- Support the Finance Business Partner as needed and to collaborate with stakeholders to enable delivery of high-quality service and advice.
- Aid in the development of submissions of financial reports to regulatory bodies, including audits, funding acquittals and benchmarking activities.
- Comply with reporting policies and procedures; identify, recommend and implement improvements
What you will bring to the role
- Valid Aged Care Worker Screening Check (or ability to attain)
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
- Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or similar
- Professional accounting qualifications (CA, CPA, CIMA) or currently studying towards (desired)
- Management accounting experience in a multi-program organisation with a large number of designated cost centres
- Understanding of how to analyse, financial outcomes, whilst working to strict deadlines and time constraints
- Developing budgets and forecasts within a multi-program organisation - preferably aged care, community services or non-profit
- Relationship and rapport building, with the capacity to relate to a wide range of stakeholders, problem solving and negotiation skills
- Strong computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as other relevant contemporary applications (e.g. PowerBI)
