Support Services Worker

Join Anglicare Southern Queensland’s Townsville Home & Community team as a Permanent Part-Time Service Support Worker and help our clients live safely, comfortably and independently in their own homes.

This is a fantastic opportunity if you’re looking to start or build a career in Aged Care or Community Services.

You’ll provide practical support around our clients’ homes, from helping with household cleaning and laundry to preparing meals and providing social support. The work you do might seem simple, but it can make a huge difference to someone’s quality of life and independence.

We are seeking a minimum of 3 weekdays availability. We operate Monday–Friday which means no weekend work!

Your day may include:

• Providing general household cleaning and maintaining a high standard of service.
• Assisting with laundry and other household tasks.
• Preparing simple meals and assisting with cooking.
• Providing friendly social support and companionship.
• Completing services within the required timeframes.
• Using equipment safely and following manual handling and safe driving practices.
• Building respectful and positive relationships with clients in their homes.

Mandatory requirements:

• Current Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle
• A current National Police Certificate OR NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
• A Certificate II or III in Asset Maintenance (Cleaning Operations) will be highly regarded but not required
