Endweld Operator

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA, an ASSA ABLOY branded company, is looking for an Endweld Operator.  This position will be responsible for the off-loading and part inspection of product being produced and placing it in proper rack to insure continuous operation during the shift. This will be a weekend position Friday - Sunday, 5:00am - 5:00pm.

What you will be doing:

• Safety, quality, priorities above all
• Focus on the keeping the mill operational
• Maintain clean, safe ,organized work area, 5S
• Assist in the change over processes of the mill.
• TPM of process and equipment in the area
• Coordinate daily and weekly activities with department supervisor
• Perform visual quality checks for straightness, galv integrity, length to meet quality requirements
• Able to work with maintenance hands on to get issues resolved in a timely manner
• Focus on mill production efficiency, problem resolution, cost saving opportunities.

The skills and experience you need:

Education:

• High school or equivalent

Experience:

• Experience in using special measuring devices, calipers, tape measure.
• Must be able to read part drawings to perform product inspections.
• Roll Tooling experience with set ups and change over.
• Demonstrated ability to meet negotiated time frames
• Forklift

Other:

• Good communication skills with coworkers to insure continuous flow of the mill
• Ability to think and react to schedule changes and conditions on the mill.
• Ability to be a contributing and valued team member for continuous improvement activities.

This role is located in Tulsa, OK.
