Performs diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data. Schedules and coordinates tests, records test results, and prepares and maintains operational logs. Calibrates and maintains equipment and orders supplies when needed. May require registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager.
Required:
Applicant must have graduated from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or accreditation agency of equal recognition.
Registered and in good standing with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Must maintain current certification/competencies.
CPR Certification
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: 1-5 years, with 1 year in OB
