Waiver Coordinator

• Under the direction of the CEO, the Waiver Coordinator/Program Specialist is responsible for setting up and manage AADD’s visibility in the HCSIS/Promise systems.

• Coordinator will manage the strategic and day‐to‐day operations of the HCSIS service specialty: 510. Home and Community Habilitation and use of the Promise program, this will include: policy and procedure development; waiver application approval; in collaboration with Home and Community-Based Services, serve as the primary point of contact to the PA Department of Public Welfare, Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) for all waiver related activities.

• This position requires strong listening skills, exceptional attention to detail, an analytical approach to problem solving, the capacity to achieve targeted outcomes in a timely manner while working independently, as well as the ability to be flexible, efficient, and effective as part of a team.

• Review and monitor needs, goals and outcomes with the member and other persons that the member requests each time service plan is revised.

• Implementation of individuals support plans (ISP)

• Able to work from 9am to 3pm or 10am to 4pm three days during the week.

• A minimum of three years of experience with HCSIS and ODP Promise administration.

· Bachelor’s degree or higher preferably in social work, psychology or human services.

• Thorough working knowledge regulatory and compliance requirements for specialty waiver programs.

• Working knowledge of individual and organizational applicable licensing statutes and standards as it relates to waiver requirements.

• Flexibility to meet obligations outside of normal business hours when needed.

• Ability to handle confidential information and materials is essential.

• Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to interact positively and collaboratively with board members, staff, donors, member’s families and community representatives from diverse cultural and socio‐economic backgrounds.

• Use of a personal computer (PC) for administration and communication (Microsoft Office, HCSIS, ODP Promise, Word, PowerPoint, QuickBooks and Excel), database management skills and use of Facebook & Twitter
