Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conducts oneself with a high degree of professionalism on the job and in general.
• Reports to work punctually and properly attired, maintaining a high standard of personal hygiene.
• Exercises the utmost degree of confidentiality as it relates to departmental operations and or information.
• Adheres to all company and departmental policies, rules, customs and procedures.
• Develops a broad and thorough working knowledge of the Company’s Accounting and Internal Controls and of the standard operating procedures relative to the various hotel operations.
• Monitors all hotel related activities to ensure compliance with internal controls and standard operating procedures and notifies the appropriate authorities regarding incidents of non-compliance and or criminal activity suspected or observed.
• Develops a good working knowledge of Emergency Procedures and their implementation in the event of an Armed Robbery, Bomb Threat, Fire, Power Failure, Hurricane and any other emergencies likely to endanger patrons, employees or property.
• Records into the Surveillance Diary Book any and all incidents that Surveillance participated in during the course of his / her shift.
• Appears in Court on behalf of the Company to give evidence in any criminal matter in which he/she observed and or reported on.
• Continually assesses coverage capabilities with a view to recommending where improvements can be made relative to the type, location and or positioning of cameras.
• Monitors the general upkeep of the Surveillance equipment ensuring that all faults are logged in the Equipment Fault register and or brought to the attention of the Surveillance Manager or Technicians for immediate attention.
• Assists with the training, development and evaluation of Monitor Trainees.
• Expected to undergo additional training, attend seminars and or Surveillance Workshops held here and or abroad, so as to enhance our overall Operations.
• Adheres to all instructions emanating from the Surveillance Director and or the Surveillance Room Manager.
• Perform other reasonable duties as may be required by the Department.
• The Company operates a twenty-four (24), hour, seven (7) days a week business. Therefore, it may be necessary to change the accustomed shifts, at times, as the business demands.
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
• Experience with CCTV equipment a plus but not essential
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Able to work flexible shifts
• Computer literate
• Excellent attention to details
• Extensive knowledge of the English language
