Painter (Engineering)

As a Painter, you will play an essential role in preserving the beauty and character of our property, ensuring that every surface is thoughtfully maintained and presented to the highest standards. Through your technical expertise, attention to detail, and pride in your craft, you will help create the environments in which our guests experience the extraordinary.

• Maintain and restore the property’s painted and finished surfaces, ensuring consistency with the property’s colour schemes, aesthetic standards, and overall design.
• Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, including wood and metal, before applying finish coats.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, and other finishing products to walls, ceilings, furniture, and other property surfaces using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and appropriate equipment.
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, stripping, wire brushing, or using appropriate abrasive or water-blasting techniques.
• Remove existing finishes when required, ensuring surfaces are properly prepared before applying new coatings.
• Protect surrounding surfaces, furniture, and equipment using drop cloths, masking tape, and protective materials, and ensure appropriate signage is displayed during maintenance works.
• Coordinate with vendors in order to modify colors of paint, stain, or varnish with oil, thinning, and drying additives in order to obtain desired colors and consistency.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality across all areas of the property.
• Clean, maintain, and appropriately store painting tools, equipment, and materials after use.
• Use tools and equipment correctly and responsibly, ensuring company assets are protected and maintained according to property standards and procedures.
• Immediately report any serious maintenance issues, unusual findings, damage, or potential safety hazards to the Manager.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a painting or maintenance role, preferably within a luxury hospitality, residential, or high-end property environment.
• Solid knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and the application of paints, stains, varnishes, enamels, and other finishing products.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high-quality finishes that reflect the aesthetic standards of the property.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, according to the needs of the hotel.

• Salary Range: €28.000 - 30.000 gross per year / 14 months
