Application Period: From 17 August until 14 September Based in São Paulo, you will contribute to our energy modelling efforts by developing analytical and computational tools, enhancing our modelling methodology, analysing data, formulating recommendations on future trends, and conveying insights to enhance clients’ decision making. This internship focuses on modelling energy commodities markets, particularly electricity.
It is open to students currently enrolled in undergraduate programs (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Molecular Sciences, Economics, and other quantitative fields at top-tier universities). Develop and maintain Aurora’s suite of energy market models. Collaborate with our research and consulting teams to derive insights from model results Contribute to continuously improving how the modelling team operates. Required attributes: Enrolment in undergraduate programs in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Molecular Sciences, Economics, or other quantitative fields A genuine enjoyment of working through complex problems and the ability to explain your reasoning clearly Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python or similar Strong communication and collaboration skills Proficiency in English Desirable attributes: Experience working with quantitative data through coursework, projects, or internships, including analysing data and drawing insights An interest in energy markets and how well-designed models improve real-world decisions An interest in statistical and/or optimization techniques.
