    Industria Electrician

    The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within an industrial facility. This position supports the safe and reliable operation of plant electrical distribution systems, motors, control circuits, and production equipment. The electrician will utilize diagnostic tools and technical expertise to identify electrical issues, perform corrective repairs, and ensure all work complies with applicable safety standards and electrical codes.

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical power distribution systems operating at 480V, 4.16KV, and 13.8KV.
    • Install, test, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, conduit, motors, switchgear, transformers, breakers, and associated electrical equipment.
    • Diagnose and repair single-phase and three-phase AC induction motors and motor control systems.
    • Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documents to perform installations and repairs.
    • Utilize electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, insulation resistance testers, micro-ohmmeters, and motor circuit analyzers to identify and resolve equipment failures.
    • Assist in troubleshooting PLCs, control systems, and process interlocks to support plant operations.
    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
    • Inspect electrical systems for hazards, defects, and code compliance, making recommendations for repair or replacement when necessary.
    • Install conduit systems and pull wire for new installations, upgrades, and maintenance projects.
    • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and other craft personnel to safely complete assigned work.
    • Maintain strict compliance with plant safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and all applicable regulations.
    • Work safely while utilizing required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators, fall protection, and fire-resistant clothing.
    • Perform duties from ladders, scaffolds, elevated platforms, and other industrial work environments as needed.
    • Support plant outages, turnarounds, and special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications Required for this Position:

    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of industrial electrical experience in a refinery, petrochemical, manufacturing, power generation, or similar industrial environment.
    • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, power distribution equipment, and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
    • Experience working with high-voltage electrical systems is preferred.
    • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
    • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.

    Work may be performed in industrial and construction environments with exposure to weather conditions, temperature extremes, noise, dust, fumes, moving equipment, vibration, and other site-specific hazards. Employees must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer, site, regulatory, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.

    Must be able to perform all job duties while maintaining a constant commitment to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
