    Utility Specialist

    We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused Utility Specialist to support daily operations at the CVO LyondellBasell site. This hands-on position is responsible for a variety of utility, environmental, material handling, and equipment cleaning activities. The successful candidate will assist with temporary equipment set ups for specialty process transfers and de-inventories, vessel clearing/degassing/cleaning operations, and the loading/unloading/transloading of tanker trailers/frac tanks/and other temporary storage vessels while maintaining the highest safety standards. Other duties include but not limited to:

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Manage and maintain land farm operations utilizing landscaping equipment and pumps
    • Boilermaker activities include bolt up of various size hoses, piping, spools for temporary equipment as well as installing blinds for CSE on vessels.
    • Perform degassing, cleaning, and preparation of tanks, drums, towers, and related equipment for API inspections.
    • Assist with tank entry preparation and cleaning activities while following all applicable safety procedures and confined space requirements.
    • Loading/Unloading/Transloading of tanker trailers and Frac tanks utilizing specialty equipment.
    • Operate equipment safely and efficiently while complying with site and environmental regulations.
    • Conduct housekeeping and general maintenance activities at all jobsites to support operational excellence.
    • Provide support to operations during a spill event
    • Complete required documentation, inspections, and reports accurately and timely.
    • Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and site audits.
    • Must be available to work overtime as needed, including weekends and night shift and on-call duties.
    • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
    • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
    • Commitment to following all company and site-specific safety procedures.

    Qualifications Required for this Position:

    Education: no minimum education requirements.

    Experience: 1-year preferred experience in industrial services, environmental services, tank cleaning, land farming, or related industrial work.

    Certifications/Licenses: A Valid Driver's License and TWIC Card.

    Work may be performed in industrial and construction environments with exposure to weather conditions, temperature extremes, noise, dust, fumes, moving equipment, vibration, and other site-specific hazards. Employees must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and meet all customer, site, regulatory, medical, and fitness-for-duty requirements applicable to the position.

    Must be able to perform all job duties while maintaining a constant commitment to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
