EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As a (Senior) Developer in the SAP HANA Database team you will be working with a group of exceptionally talented and motivated colleagues.

You will need to:
- Develop and improve the HANA build- & test infrastructure
- Debug complex SAP HANA infrastructure issues
- Administrate, monitor and maintain SAP HANA infrastructure components and test servers Your tasks will also include:
- Close cooperation with the SAP HANA Database development, enabling core developers to provide new coding in quality as fast as possible
- Continuously improve the quality of the SAP HANA Database by implementing new quality measures

- 3+ years of relevant work experience
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills We require that you meet the core competencies and skills listed below:
- Advanced skills & experience with Linux/ Unix, network & storage system
- Very good analytical skills, familiarity with root cause analysis, debugging and analyzing complex problems
- Knowledge of cutting-edge approaches in software quality assurance
- Basic knowledge of data base architectures
- Ability to work well in close teamwork in an distributed team over several international locations
- German and English both spoken and written Programming knowledge:
- Good knowledge of software architecture and object-oriented design
- Python and Shell-Scripting Preferred skills A plus will be skills in:
- Using Git, Gerrit, Jenkins & Bugzilla APIs
- Perl & C++
- Parallel programming/distribution strategies for data or tasks
- Code profilers & code checkers like CPP checker or address sanitizer
- GNU Make, CMake, Ninja
- Cluster file systems (GPFS, OCFS)
