Our team is responsible for this persistence service.

Developing and providing this service poses a variety of challenges:
- Being well versed with database operations
- Installation and automation thereof on different platforms (e.g. OpenStack)
- Improving development productivity by leveraging open source tools and frameworks
- Working with the team on architecture and design proposals to improve persistence service functionality
- Consulting of customers and partners with regard to database issues We are looking for a (Senior) Developer who can cope with these tasks and requirements.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As (Senior) Developer in the Hana Cloud Platform Persistence team, you should ideally
- Have database knowhow and the will and interest to enhance your knowledge about different databases like SAP HANA, SAP ASE and others
- Have knowledge in scripting languages (Java Script, Ruby, chef recipies,…)
- Endorse open source activities
- Be open for changes
- Understand our stakeholders' demands and translate them into technology
- Have a strong customer focus
- Have the ability to work in a team of experienced colleagues We are looking for a strong, committed, self-motivated, reliable team player and proactive networker.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Bachelor or master degree in computer science, natural science or a related discipline.

Required skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Fluent in German and English speaking and writing.
- Excellent knowledge about databases and Java persistence are prerequisite Preferred skills
- Experience with profiling tools, network protocols and HANA DB is a plus
