- Accurately determine Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs) and dual-use codes for Autodoc product portfolio
- Maintain up-to-date ECCN records, technical classification rationale, and master data in trade compliance systems
- Accurately determine the Harmonized System (HS) Code for our product portfolio and assign relevant EZT, TARIC (Europe), TARES (Switzerland), and UK Global Tariff classifications
- Responsible for the technical classification of goods, software, and technology according to German (BAFA), EU, and US export control laws
- Analyze technical product specifications and performance metrics to determine appropriate export control classifications
- Monitor changes in trade regulations, including updates to the Commerce Control List (CCL) and EU Dual-Use Annexes, and implement necessary adjustments
- Support audits and inquiries related to export control classifications
- Developing and optimizing classification processes and coordinating with authorities
- A bachelor’s degree in technical field or technical vocational training with several years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Strong technical understanding, including the ability to read technical drawings and documentation
- Experience with ECCN classification
- Experience with customs practice in EU, including identification of issues related to classification
- Excellent knowledge of customs tariff classification, including direct experience with classifying products under Harmonized Tariff System
- Strong Analytical and technical mindset
- Fluency in English, German is a plus
