Our team is responsible for this persistence service.

Developing and providing this service poses a variety of challenges:
- Being well versed with database operations
- Installation and automation thereof on different platforms (e.g. OpenStack)
- Improving development productivity by leveraging open source tools and frameworks
- Working with the team on architecture and design proposals to improve persistence service functionality
- Consulting of customers and partners with regard to database issues
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As developer associate in the Hana Cloud Platform Persistence team, you should ideally:
- Have database knowhow and the will and interest to enhance your knowledge about different databases like SAP HANA, SAP ASE and others
- Endorse open source activities
- Be open for changes
- Understand our stakeholders' demands and translate them into technology
- Have a strong customer focus
- Have the ability to work in a team of experienced colleagues
WORK EXPERIENCE
We are looking for a strong, committed, self-motivated, reliable team player and proactive networker who is about to graduate soon or graduated recently (max.

2 years work experience). Job related experience through internships, working student jobs etc. is highly appreciated.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Graduate with university degree (bachelor, diploma, master, PhD) in Computer Science, Natural Sciences or related fields
- Fluency in English and German - verbal and written
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Knowledge about databases and Java persistence
- Preferrably experience with profiling tools, network protocols and HANA DB Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships).
