We are hiring a IT Technology Associate Consultant, to join the Application Operations team, who will lead technical application operations of our SAP Store on hybris eCommerce. A candidate with very strong foundation in JAVA as well as agile, continuous delivery methodology can expect to be upskilled in the hybris eCommerce platform and services and gain significant experience in a rapid growth area here at SAP.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As IT Technology Associate Consultant you are responsible to:
- Drive IT Product/Service operational excellence assisted by a multi sourced operations teams that provide operational support for our productive solutions through incident management, major incident de-escalation, problem management, service request delivery, event management, etc.
- Drive continuous improvement of IT Product/Service in terms of operational efficiency, reducing TCO, support quality and customer satisfaction.
- Lead architectural discussions in innovation projects at SAP, engaging all relevant stakeholders, with a focus on architecturally sound, high quality and operable solutions.
- Engage solution and service providers to improve application as well as service quality.
- Ensure IT Product/Service is compliant with technical, quality and process standards.
- Develop skill and competency on latest solutions and technologies relevant to the IT Product/Service.
WORK EXPERIENCE
A successful candidate has first work experience and very strong foundation in JAVA/J2EE solutions.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills
- Solid understanding as well as experience in Java Enterprise (BigData, Scalable, Tomcat), Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Integration, Batch) and Web Services (SOAP, REST)
- Solid understanding as well as experience in software architecture methodology
- Solid understanding of agile, test driven development and continuous delivery
- Good understanding SAP HANA (application platform)
- University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Information Technology or Engineering
- Customer orientation with a strong focus on quality
- Strong analytical and logical skills
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Very good English language skills
- Ability to work in an international team Preferred skills
- Exposure to hybris as a platform is an advantage
- Certification in process (e.g.

ITIL), architectural standards (e.g. TOGAF) as well as technical skills (hybris and Spring) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in German is an advantage.
