AVANCE derives from the Spanish word meaning “to advance or “to progress.” AVANCE is considered a pioneer in the field of parent education, helping support children and families achieve excellence through education and family-intervention programs which includes the renowned AVANCE Parent-Child Education Program. We provide community-based interventions, which are family-centered, preventive, comprehensive, and continuous through the integration and collaboration of educational services. What began in a 500-unit public housing development in San Antonio, Texas, with an annual budget of $50,000 serving 35 families, AVANCE has grown to over 100 program sites across the U.S. serving thousands of parents and children annually
