WHAT WE NEED

We’re looking for a Framing Manager. We really do encourage everyone to proactively step outside of their job description if they see something that could be improved but the core of your role will involve:

Production Management

• Oversee all aspects of Avant Arte’s framing operation from order intake to quality control

• Set Avant Arte’s framing standards and establish processes to ensure adherence

• Identify new framing techniques and foster continuous improvement of framing operations

• Frame fine art prints (approximately 50% of your time will be spent executing)

• Optimise throughput and drive efficiency to meet framing output KPIs

Materials Management

• Manage inventory of framing materials, tools, and equipment

• Identify and source new materials and vendors

Quality Control

• Maintain high standards of quality to meet collector expectations

• Develop and enforce quality control measures to minimise errors while meeting output targets

Team Leadership

• Train and supervise a high-performing team of 5x framers

• Track framing project costs, labour hours, and material usage to inform budgeting and pricing

• Implement health and safety measures within the framing department

The main skills we’re looking for are:

• Fine-art framing

• Operations and production management 

• People management

• Nice-to-have: Entrepreneurial mindset (for operations setup)

We think you’ll probably have:

• 5+ years experience running a fine-art framing operation at scale

• 3-5+ years experience managing other framers

• Nice-to-have: Prior experience setting up a framing operation

• Nice-to-have: Experience framing prints and/or works on paper
