MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT

ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS:

The Machine/Facilities Maintenance Assistant is appointed to this position by the Maintenance Supervisor to whom he/she reports and is solely accountable for the fulfillment of his/her duties. He/she has authority and accountability delegated commensurate with the responsibilities assigned to his/her function.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY:

Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with facility preventive maintenance, repairs, improvements and adjustments on machinery.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• The Machine/Facilities Maintenance Assistant specific duties may embrace all or part of, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:
• Follow the systems and procedures for the perpetual maintenance of the Company’s production machinery.
• Perform all janitorial chores pertinent to the maintenance of the Company’s operating facilities including production, warehouse, and outside areas.
• Follow safety regulations in compliance with EPA and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain his/her department and repair parts in an orderly manner. Also, keep GOOD HOUSEKEEPING PRACTICES.
• Assist on the adjustments to assigned machines.
• Ensure that all operating machinery is being properly lubricated and maintained.
• Enforce all Company rules and regulations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY:

Help maintain all the daily, weekly, monthly and annual Preventive Maintenance Program.

GENERAL:

To perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
