    Job description

    Overview

Clinical Manager – Aveanna Healthcare – Worcester, MA

Are you a skilled Registered Nurse with a passion for leadership and a heart for making a difference? At Aveanna Healthcare, we’re more than a home care provider — we’re a mission-driven team that empowers patients and supports caregivers every step of the way.

We’re seeking a Clinical Manager to lead, mentor, and support a team of dedicated Clinical Supervisors. This is a unique opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with your leadership abilities — and truly shape the quality of care we deliver.

What You’ll Be Doing (Your Impact):

    • Lead a Team of Clinical Supervisors: Guide and support a high-performing team to ensure patient care is efficient, effective, and always focused on goals.

    • Support Clinical Excellence: Educate staff on best practices, regulatory standards, and Aveanna policies to ensure top-tier care and compliance.

    • Provide On-Call Leadership: Be a consistent, reliable resource for clinical issues—because quality care doesn’t clock out.

    • Drive High Standards: Champion CHAP accreditation requirements and ensure a safe, consistent, and compliant care environment.

    • Foster Retention & Morale: Build a workplace culture that values, develops, and retains top talent.

    • Collaborate & Coordinate: Work closely with operations to ensure smart staffing levels and efficient patient assignments.

    • Stay Connected to Care: Conduct on-site visits, mentor team members, and pitch in with hands-on patient care when needed.

    • Evaluate & Educate: Take an active role in onboarding, training, and developing clinical staff.

    • Serve as Clinical Leadership: Step up as the clinical lead when the Clinical Director is unavailable.

    Who You Are:

    • A Registered Nurse with strong clinical judgment, leadership instincts, and a desire to elevate others.

    • A coach, mentor, and motivator—someone who sees leadership as service.

    • Calm under pressure and confident in your ability to manage conflict with professionalism and care.

    • Highly organized, compassionate, and deeply committed to improving lives through high-quality home care.

    What You Bring:

    • RN license (state-specific)

    • Nursing degree (Diploma, Associate, or Bachelor’s)

    • Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation

    • 2+ years of experience as a Clinical Supervisor or similar leadership role (preferred)

    • Deep understanding of state/federal compliance and private duty nursing operations

    • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills

    Why You’ll Love Working Here:

    • Meaningful Work: Your leadership will directly impact patient outcomes and team success.

    • Team Culture: Join a supportive, values-driven team that respects your expertise and celebrates your growth.

    • Career Advancement: We believe in promoting from within—this role is a stepping stone to further leadership.

    • Flexibility & Autonomy: Work independently while collaborating across teams to make the best clinical decisions.

    • National Reach, Local Heart: Be part of a trusted national provider with deep local roots in Worcester.

    • Compensation: $100k base salary, plus bonus potential (up to 10% of salary based on branch performance), cell phone and mileage reimbursement.  Up to 80 hours of vacation accrual in the first year, 48 hours of sick time accrual, one 8-hour fun day and one 8-hour inclusion day. Vacation hours accrual will increase to 120 hours of vacation after 1st year.

    Physical & Work Environment:

This is a field and office-based role requiring occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs), travel to patient homes, and the ability to respond quickly in clinical situations. Must be comfortable in diverse home environments and with occasional exposure to medical conditions and bodily fluids.

    Vaccine Requirement:

As a Medicare/Medicaid provider, Aveanna complies with all health-related employment regulations, including vaccination requirements (with medical/religious exemptions as applicable).
