Avenue Z, a leading media and tech company, is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Associate to join our growing Public Relations team. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to work with experienced professionals on innovative campaigns for a diverse range of clients. As a Junior Associate, you'll gain hands-on experience in communications strategy and execution, learning the foundations of public relations while contributing to meaningful client work.
Responsibilities
- Client Engagement Support:
- Assist in the development and execution of communication strategies for clients across media, technology, and other industries.
- Support account teams in managing client relationships, including preparing meeting notes and follow-ups.
- Content Creation and Media Support:
- Draft and edit press releases, media pitches, and other written materials.
- Assist in the development of compelling story angles and client narratives.
- Conduct research to support client campaigns, including audience insights and competitor analyses.
- Media Relations and Monitoring:
- Build foundational skills in media relations, including compiling media lists and identifying press opportunities.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends, preparing summary reports for internal teams and clients.
- Project Coordination:
- Support day-to-day coordination of PR campaigns, ensuring deliverables are completed on time.
- Collaborate with team members to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and address project needs.
- Team Collaboration and Learning:
- Work closely with senior team members to gain exposure to various aspects of PR and strategic communications.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, internal trainings, and team meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience, with a preference for internship or agency experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Interest in media and technology industries is a plus.
