Now hiring a Kitchen Manager for our newest inpatient detox/residential treatment facility in Indianapolis, IN
We are seeking to hire an enthusiastic Kitchen Manager who is passionate and eager to grow alongside an outstanding team! The Kitchen Manager focuses on inspiring purposeful lives for our clients through the delivery of quality service and creating an enjoyable dining experience. Manage the preparation and serving of the food, as well as cleaning the equipment, utensils, and food service areas.
This is a full time position.
What You'll Do
Prepare resident trays according to instructions/order
Employ proper food handling techniques in the preparation of food and setting up/serving trays
Deliver food, nourishments and supplies to areas as assigned
Stock food storage areas and refrigerators as assigned
Clean, wash and sanitize dishes, silverware and utensils used to serve clients and others
Assist in maintaining the general cleanliness of the dishwashing area; clean work area and equipment as assigned.
Use proper infection control techniques and protective equipment as needed; perform all duties using proper safety techniques.
Attend and participate in in-service education opportunities
The Dietary Aide must be detail-oriented, well-groomed, act professionally and must be a team player who works well with others.
The Dietary Aide consistently embodies the characteristics necessary to drive the Avenues mission, vision, and purpose.
What We're Looking For
Serve Safe Food Handling certification - REQUIRED
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) preferred
At least 5 years of food service management experience including all phases of dining operations and service
Strive for excellence. Previous leadership experience focusing on quality improvement and customer service
Demonstrated ability and success in managing operating and menu expenses
Ability to delegate and develop others on a team
Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities
Great communication skills to interact with various customers in presentations, conversations, and writing
Ability to establish confidence and trust in team members
Desire to act as an owner in day to day decision making and problem solving as well as accountability
Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Office and the ability to learn ordering system
Experience in scheduling
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours to ensure quality customer experience during prime service delivery days and times.
Valid Drivers License with good driving record
