About the role
As a Team Manager at Avery Dennison's West Coast Distribution Center, you will provide leadership and direction for all Safety, Quality, Service, Productivity, and Cost Reduction objectives within an assigned area of the facility. Reporting to the Site Leader, you will manage direct reports, drive continuous improvement, and foster a customer-focused team committed to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
This is an on-site position located at our Rancho Cucamonga, California facility. However, ***The Rancho Cucamonga site will be relocating to our Paris, CA site by January 2027.*** Overnight Hours will be 10:00pm to 6:00am, Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends and extra weekday as needed.
Provide leadership, direction, and daily supervision for warehouse staff, ensuring safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost reduction targets are met.
Perform general management duties including hiring, training, employee development, performance evaluations, work assignments, timekeeping, and applying organizational policies.
Direct daily operational activities such as shipping, receiving, loading and unloading trucks, stacking, picking, packing, and analyzing inventory reports.
Design and implement operations improvement strategies, lead 5S activities, and drive continuous improvement utilizing Enterprise Lean Sigma principles.
Lead safety initiatives, conduct daily safety huddles and monthly safety meetings, and collaborate across functional areas to resolve problems and eliminate waste.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
6+ years of operational experience, with previous team leader or supervisory experience preferred.
Demonstrated skill in analyzing operational data, daily scheduling, planning, budgeting, and managing inventory control systems.
Strong ability to lead, coach, and develop a diverse team, driving continuous improvement and applying Enterprise Lean Sigma principles.
Excellent customer focus, communication, and decision-making skills, with the flexibility to adapt hours as needed for operational priorities.
Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $112,000.00 / year.
NOTE - This location will be relocating to Paris, CA by January 2027.
