Customer Service Representative

Job Purpose

The Collision Centre Administrator accepts and directs incoming calls, takes detailed messages, and provides basic information to callers. The incumbent will have front-line contact with the public and must represent the body shop in a professional and friendly manner at all times.

Core Accountabilities 

• Communicate with callers in a professional, friendly and efficient manner, striving to minimize the time they are put on hold.
• Take detailed messages, including the caller’s first and last name, company name if applicable, the time, and the message the caller wishes to leave.
• Communicate messages to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
• Provide basic information to callers who have general inquiries.
• Prepare and update customer files.
• Obtain customer’s written approval on all repair orders at the time of the write-up or when closing additional add-on sales.
• Close repair orders.
• Ensure personal protective equipment is worn at all times when entering the shop.
• Perform clerical and administrative and other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 per year.

Requirements 

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Ontario G Driver’s License.
• Clear Driver’s Abstract.
• Experience working in a Body Shop.
• Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines and complete all assigned tasks.
• Proven organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills: both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Sound understanding of all automotive functionalities.
• Experience using Mitchell on Demand, Audatex and MS Office.
• Must speak clearly on the telephone and convey an image of professionalism.
• Must be able to convey messages to employees clearly and quickly.
