Job purpose
The Retail Sales Consultant is responsible for meeting sales targets, converting leads into showroom visits, conducting test drives, and appraising trade-ins. They ensure high customer satisfaction throughout the sales process, meet KPIs, and maintain strong product knowledge. The role also involves outdoor sales efforts and collaborating with sales managers to optimize customer experiences.
Job responsibilities
Sales Performance
Responsible for achieving the assigned monthly sales target for vehicle units. This is the primary responsibility of the sales consultant.
Responsible for meeting sales targets related to accessories per unit.
Achieve the quarterly non-financial KPIs as set by the management.
Sales Process
Generate a sufficient number of outdoor appointments with prospective customers monthly, utilizing telephone, web, CRM, and social media platforms to generate leads.
Effectively convert phone and digital leads from social media into showroom walk-ins, increasing the potential for sales conversion.
Contact all leads from the GCRM call centre and digital sources promptly—within 2 hours for web leads and within 4 hours for CRM leads.
Offer and conduct vehicle test drives to customers, highlighting key performance and driving features to enhance the buying experience.
Provide trade-in appraisals to customers interested in exchanging their current vehicles.
Proactively request second facing from the sales manager by providing detailed information on the customer and their vehicle requirements.
Customer Satisfaction
Ensure high customer satisfaction by consistently delivering a complete and seamless sales process throughout the entire vehicle purchase journey.
Adhere strictly to customer handling standards to ensure the sales process is properly conducted during all customer interactions, including walk-ins, telephone calls, and emails, as assessed through mystery shopping evaluations.
Product Knowledge
The sales consultant must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all products, including features, advantages, benefits (FAB), new vehicle technologies, and unique selling points (USPs).
