Senior Technical Recruiter

About the Role 

We are looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter to partner with engineering leadership and help build our U.S. engineering teams behind the TCU. You will own full-cycle recruiting for U.S.-based roles across the entire product stack: ASIC design and verification, silicon validation and QA, embedded firmware and systems software, and machine learning. You will work directly with hiring managers and executives to define roles, build pipelines, and close top technical talent in a highly competitive market.

This is a 6-month contract with the option to convert to a full-time position based on performance and business needs.

What You’ll Do 

• Own full-cycle recruiting for technical roles, from intake and job description through offer, close, and onboarding handoff.

• Partner with hiring managers and engineering leaders to define role requirements, calibrate candidate profiles, and design structured interview processes.

• Source and engage passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, referrals, university and alumni networks, technical conferences, and targeted outreach into the semiconductor, security, and AI communities.

• Screen candidates with enough technical fluency to assess fit across hardware, software, and ML disciplines, and give hiring managers crisp, useful summaries.

• Advise leadership on talent market conditions, competitor landscape, compensation trends, and hiring strategy.

• Run tight interview loops: coordinate panels, drive timely feedback, lead debriefs, and keep stakeholders aligned.

• Partner with HR on offer strategy, compensation structure, and negotiation for competitive, passive candidates.

• Build long-term talent pipelines and maps for critical and hard-to-fill roles.

• Maintain accurate candidate data in our ATS (SmartRecruiters) and track the recruiting metrics that matter.

• Deliver an excellent experience for candidates and hiring managers, and represent the Axiado employer brand in the market.

What You’ll Bring 

• 5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with significant focus on semiconductor, hardware, or deep-tech companies (agency and in-house experience both welcome).

• Proven track record filling hard-to-find engineering roles across ASIC/SoC design, design verification, physical design, silicon validation, test and QA, embedded firmware and systems software, hardware security, machine learning/AI, and board and hardware systems engineering.

• Working knowledge of the full product development lifecycle, from chip architecture and RTL through verification, tape-out, and silicon bring-up, to board and hardware system design and production, and how firmware, software, and ML fit into it.

• An existing network within the silicon engineering, embedded software, and/or AI communities.

• Demonstrated success sourcing and closing passive, highly sought-after candidates.

• Ability to influence and advise senior engineering leaders (Director and above).

• Knowledge of compensation, equity, and leveling practices at startups and established semiconductor companies.

• Experience managing a high volume of concurrent searches independently in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Excellent communication, writing, and stakeholder management skills.

• AI fluency: comfortable using AI-enabled sourcing and productivity tools to work smarter.

• Experience with applicant tracking systems (SmartRecruiters, Greenhouse, Lever, or similar) and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter.

Compensation 

Contract Rate: $65 – $90 per hour

Upon conversion to full-time, Axiado offers a competitive total rewards package that includes base salary, bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
