Sanitor III, Am Shift

Position Summary:

The Sanitor III is responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout warehouse, production, and operational areas. In addition to performing sanitation and cleaning activities, this role operates specialized sanitation and waste management equipment, including compactors, to support facility cleanliness, waste management, food safety, and regulatory compliance.

The Sanitor III plays a key role in supporting sanitation operations by ensuring operational areas remain clean, safe, organized, and compliant with company food safety and workplace safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cleaning and sanitation of production equipment, floors, walls, racks, docks, and operational work areas.
• Follow established sanitation schedules, and food safety requirements.
• Safely handle, mix, and prepare cleaning chemicals according to company procedures and safety standards.
• Operate approved sanitation equipment including floor scrubbers, power washers, compactors, and other related cleaning equipment.
• Operate compactors and support waste management and recycling activities in accordance with company procedures.
• Remove trash, debris, damaged product, and waste materials from warehouse and operational areas.
• Maintain sanitation logs, cleaning checklists, waste management records, and required documentation.
• Inspect work areas to identify sanitation concerns, maintenance needs, equipment issues, or safety hazards and communicate findings appropriately.
• Ensure sanitation equipment, cleaning tools, and supplies are properly maintained, organized, and stored.
• Support facility readiness for audits, inspections, and operational reviews.
• Work safely in indoor and outdoor environments, including varying weather conditions as required.
• Utilize required PPE and follow all workplace safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines.
• Support compliance with GMP, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Work collaboratively with Operations, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and leadership teams to support sanitation and safety objectives.
• Perform additional sanitation and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Prior sanitation, warehouse, janitorial, or food production experience preferred.

· Experience operating compactors, sanitation equipment, or other powered facility equipment preferred.

· Experience operating electric pallet jacks or other powered material handling equipment preferred.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment.

· Basic communication and teamwork skills required.

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

· Willingness to learn sanitation procedures, chemical handling, and food safety standards.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout warehouse operational areas for extended periods Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and lift for extended periods of time.

· Ability to lift and move cleaning equipment, supplies, and materials within company established guidelines, with or without reasonable accommodation.

· Ability to operate electric pallet jacks and other approved material handling equipment safely.

· Ability to work in refrigerated, freezer, wet, humid, or varying temperature environments.

· Ability to safely use sanitation equipment and cleaning chemicals as trained.

Work Environment:

This position operates within warehouse, production, and distribution environments that may include refrigerated, freezer, wet, and fast-paced operational conditions. Associates may be exposed to moving equipment, varying temperatures, and moderate to loud noise levels.
